Simon Dickens - Managing Director

I have a background going back more than 15yrs in the mainstream motor industry in various roles within premium marque dealerships. I am also a keen and very experienced kit car builder having built four cars from scratch. In addition I have owned a number of other kit cars and have experience of everything from V8 monsters to bike engined screamers.

The idea for the was born out of a personal need for a particular type of car that hasn't previously existed. It is aimed as an alternative to the many seven clones ,and other kits out there ,and with 3 seats and a single seater central driving position ,it can appeal to a wider spectrum of people by having the ability of offering optional seating configurations, Single seat (Fl Style) ,2 seater ,or 3 seats, the choice is yours!

It combines light weight, bike engine performance, in a modern mid-engine layout.

The practicality of more than two seats combined with contemporary styling make this a new and radical sportscar in its own right .

Simon Keys - Freelance Designer


Simon and his company First Principle Design Ltd are responsible for translating the ideas from Simon D's head into reality. Simon K has over 10 years experience in the mainstream automotive engineering industry having previously worked for MIRA, a large automotive engineering service provider. During that time he has worked with many of the major motor manufacturers around the world fulfilling a variety of roles from vehicle safety engineering, through styling development, design cost optimisation, to powertrain installation.

First Principle Design is Simon's more recent venture and is targeting the more specialist end of the industry where Simon can bring to bear innovative thinking and the design expertise that typifies the mainstream industry.

Chris Snell - Suspension Specialist and Race Car Builder

Chris Snell of Snell Developments was also brought on board the team, and he specialises in pretty much everything to do with competition cars, but his main strength is suspension design and engineering. His expertise is gained from the practical experience of designing, building and racing his own cars, competing at the highest level in his class ,with results to match .
Chris also brings with him the meticulous attention to detail that typifies top class competition car construction and preparation
.

Manufacturing Partner
The fourth key member of the team is SDR's manufacturing partner. 

                  

An ISO9001 accredited engineering specialist. They bring with them the highest quality standards in the parts they produce, as they are already heavily involved in manufacturing for the mainstream automotive sector and have a number of blue chip clients.
They are responsible for manufacturing and assembling the primary vehicle structure as well as a variety of other parts, using the latest manufacturing techniques including CNC laser cut or punched panels, and CNC controlled tube manipulation.


These processes ensure that the chassis frame ,and all other components manufactured for the SDR is second to none in terms of accuracy ,and construction.

Each chassis unit and individual component is manufactured to
ISO 9001 standards guaranteeing us the highest possible level of An ISO9001 quality that can be achieved.
